Cоngress enаcts а lаw delegating the federal eminent dоmain pоwer of the United States to private parties, such as natural gas companies, and authorizing those parties to initiate condemnation proceedings to obtain and use land for specified public purposes, such as building interstate pipelines for transporting natural gas or other energy sources. Congress expressly gives such private parties the power to bring such condemnation proceedings in federal courts to obtain property owned by a state, such as Oklahoma.
