Global health implies planetary health which equals human, animal, environmental and ecosystem health (Kahn et al., 2014) and it emphasizes transnational health issues, determinants and solutions; involves many disciplines within and beyond the health sciences and promotes interdependence and interdisciplinary collaboration; and is a synthesis of population-based prevention with individual holistic care (Koplan et al., 2009)."
