QUESTION 4 CIVIL DRAWING ADVISED TIME 90 minutes QUESTION TOTAL 88 mаrks   GIVEN:   The incоmplete sectiоnаl nоrth elevаtion of a new house, showing the walls, the widows, door openings, the veranda, the ceiling with wall plates, all relevant labels and required dimensions.  The incomplete floor plan with dimensions showing the walls, positions of the doors, windows, fixtures and electrical layout.  The incomplete foundation, external and internal wall and veranda detail.  Room and area designations as well as floor finishes.  A door and window schedule.  A table of electrical symbols.  A table of sanitary fixtures.    INSTRUCTIONS:  Answer this question on a blank A3 page.  Using the given incomplete floor plan and schematic diagram of the incomplete sectional North elevation, and draw, to scale 1:50, the COMPLETE FLOOR PLAN and SECTIONAL NORTH ELEVATION ON A-A of the house.    Add the following features to the drawing:  FLOOR PLAN  ALL doors (door frames may be drawn in neat freehand) and windows (place them appropriately).  ALL fixtures as indicated by the abbreviations.  ALL electrical fittings as indicated by the abbreviations.  ALL hatching detail.  SECTIONAL NORTH ELEVATION ON A-A without roof detail.  The outside walls, veranda, window and door details seen from the northern side of the building.  The complete foundation, external wall (up to break line height given), internal wall, and window detail.  The ceiling height including the wall plates.  The finished floor level.  DO NOT show anything on the inside of the building that can be seen from the direction of the cutting plane A-A.  ALL hatching detail. ONLY substructure hatching may be drawn in neat freehand.    Label the following:  The floor plan and sectional North elevation.  The floor finishes.  Ground level, finished floor level and damp-proof course (use the correct abbreviations and show it on ALL the relevant views).    NOTES:  Be sure to plan where to start the drawing so that the floor plan and section view can be drawn in line with each other.
