Her heart rate (HR) and blood pressure (BP) pre-op were 78/minute and 132/80. Since her return to the med/surg floor, her HR has been consistently in the 100s with a BP of 100/60. John is a 45-year old man who presented to the ED intoxicated and had a large coffee ground emesis. His HR is 110/minute and BP is 80/40. Georgia is a 68-year-old woman who is post-op day two with a partial colon removal due to a bowel obstruction. Her HR and BP pre-op were 90/minute and 110/82. She spiked a fever to 101.2 degrees Fahrenheit. Her HR is now 105/minute and BP is 100/60. Ringo, a 64-year-old man admitted with heart failure exacerbation has ischemic cardiomyopathy and an ejection fraction (EF) of 15%. His HR is consistently 90-10/minute and he appears to be resting comfortably.
