The client presents via ambulance to the emergency department (ED) for evaluation and treatment. Her left leg is in a vacuum splint. The client has a history of juvenile osteoporosis and takes calcium carbonate 600 mg TID. Her significant other was notified and is on their way into the ED.  During her time in the ED, the client receives pharmacologic interventions based on her condition.  At 1120, the nurse reassesses the client's pain. The nurse finds the client sleepy with a respiratory rate of 10 breaths/min. What are the next two interventions the nurse should take?
