In the event of a candidate being suspected of cheating in an assessment, the following steps will be taken:10.1 The invigilator will not allow the candidate to complete the assessment paper.10.2 Any documentation in the candidate’s possession must be attached to the answer book and will be sent separately from the other assessment scripts directly to the Head of Department.10.3 The script must be accompanied by two signed statements: one by the invigilator explaining his/her version and one statement from the candidate explaining his/her version.10.4 The Head of Department will then assess the statements and make a decision.10.5 If a candidate is found guilty of cheating, the assessment script will not be marked and the candidate will be excluded from attending the course.10.6 If a candidate is found not guilty of cheating, the assessment script will be marked and the result released as per the usual channels.
