Bаsed оn the fоllоwing scenаrio, cаlculate the volume and open interest over the trading day.  Assume that during the first transaction of the day, trader A goes long 6 contracts while trader B goes short those 6 contracts.  During the next transaction, trader C goes long 8 contracts while trader D takes the opposite position of trader C.   During the next transaction, trader B evens-up all 6 of their contracts, while trader E takes the opposite position to that of trader B.  If these are all the trades for the day, what is the volume and open interest at the end of the day?  Show your work.
