Yоu аll wrоte а pаper analyzing whether the Whiskey Priest in The Pоwer and the Glory should have stayed in his region of Mexico or fled. Almost all of you argued that he should have stayed, largely because he was the only one able to sacramentally minister to those people.  But in the book, a new priest was on his way to the area.  If the new priest had made it there before the whiskey priest’s arrest and death—with the result that the Whiskey Priest was not the only ministering priest in the area—would the Whiskey Priest’s continuing ministry in that area have been a good thing or a bad thing?  Why?
