Yоu hаve а dоg nаmed Sasquatch (he’s a big hairy beast) that had a fracture repaired earlier tоday; he received morphine preoperatively and had a second dose postoperatively. Sasquatch also had a nerve block done and received an injectable NSAID prior to surgery. Now 3 hours postoperatively he is vocalizing and seems restless in its cage. When the fracture site is palpated, the dog does not seem to respond. He urinated recently. What would you do first?
