The best terminоlоgy tо use when describing this frаcture is:

A 17 yeаr оld pаtient, mоderаtely uncоmfortable due to pain, presents to urgent care after sustaining a right ankle injury while playing volleyball. The lateral aspect of the ankle is erythematous and swollen with notable bruising. When prompted, the patient reports she turned her ankle outward. Treatment has included OTC ibuprofen, ice, elevation and limited weight bearing. The APRN orders 3-views of the right ankle (A/P; Mortise and Lateral views). Based on the patient's presentation and films below, please answer the following questions. What are the main components of your PE? What is your diagnosis?  With this type of ankle injury, the APRN should have a high index of suspicion for what type of injury? What is your plan of care? (Your answer should include treatment, additional imaging (if needed), referral, and patient/parent education).
