Pаtient Mаle, 32 yeаrs оld Chief Cоmplaint “My breath smells bad and my lоwer jaw feels really sore on the left side.” Background and/or Patient History Patient is a manager of a local restaurant. BP: 150/89 Patient is a current smoker and has several drinks a week. Medications: Blood pressure medication (propranolol) and Ibuprofen as necessary for pain. Patient of record but he has only been seen for emergency appointments. Current Findings Patient reports that he forgot to take his blood pressure medication today. Current intraoral exam: buccal pericoronal inflammation around partially erupted permanent mandibular left third molar.  Patient also has a few broken amalgam restorations and a coated tongue. Current periodontal examination: heavy calculus deposits throughout the mouth with generalized  periodontal pocketing, bone loss, and bleeding on probing.  What nerves would be involved with the discomfort at the site of the oral inflammation?
