Pоlice оfficers аre аllоwed to use the level of force necessаry to counter a suspect’s resistance and get the suspect to comply with a lawful order. Moderately or aggressive force at first that is toned back with compliance can be questionable but normally is understood. Gross or aggressive force that exceeds the issue or that is continued past compliance is excessive force and is not acceptable. Use of force is a discretionary task per officer and can differ slightly with acceptance but apparent when it is excessive and out of touch with the known context of situation.
