We use very similаr аpprоаches fоr glоbal and local alignments. What do we change when we do a local alignment to allow the algorithm only to identify the most similar regions between the two sequences (as compared to the global alignment that forces us to align the two whole sequences)? Given two sequences, seq1 and seq2, can local alignment identify a substring close to the beginning of seq1 that is most similar to a substring near the end of seq2? Use your first explanation to justify why or why not.
