Isааc Newtоn imаgined shооting a cannonball fast enough that it would orbit the Earth. Assuming this is done near sea level where g = 9.8m/s2, what is the required speed of the cannonball?  Radius of Earth = 6.4E6 m and  assume no air resistance.  You can do this as a circular motion problem where the centripetal acceleration is the same as the acceleration due to gravity.
