EXAM OVERVIEW The exam is an online, timed, and proctored exam. Failure to follow the exam guidelines and to complete the exam before the due date will result in a zero for the exam grade. Students have 75 minutes to complete the exam. No time extensions, makeup exams, or retakes will be provided. Additionally, ensure your technology and internet access are working properly (see technical requirements for the online courses). Students are personally responsible for ensuring the testing environment is secure and meets all exam requirements. If a student needs to complete the exam using on-campus resources, it is the student's responsibility to access on-campus technology resources in a timely manner. HONORLOCK ROOM SCAN AND DESK SCAN To help ensure academic integrity during the examination process, students are required to include a desk scan with the room scan. Thus, students must: Scan the desktop, ensuring ALL devices and materials have been removed. Provide a 360-degree scan of the test-taking environment, including the wall and space behind the test-taking computer or laptop. Complete the scan from a seated position. Cell phones must be completely stored in another room or put away in a drawer furthest away from the testing location. Disconnect cellphone and all other devices from the testing computer. Only one computer can be used to take the exam. ADDITIONAL EXAM GUIDELINES FOCUS on the exam screen only. NO looking around, up/down, etc. CLOSE all documents, browsers, and applications. Only the exam browser is allowed to be open. DISABLE all Bluetooth and Wi-Fi devices from the testing device, except the mouse and keyboard being used to complete the exam, if applicable REMOVE all materials, cellphones, laptops, monitors, and other smart devices from the testing environment. REMAIN in full view of the webcam. NO leaning forward obstructing the full webcam view. DO NOT attempt any cut and paste. No exam material can be copied or recorded. DO NOT click outside the assessment screen. NO ‘ghost’ browsers running in the background that is not visible on the exam screen. ONLY one monitor permitted to be active during the exam. MUST have a testing environment that is well-lit. MUST have computer audio and camera turned on for the entire duration of the exam. NO completing an exam with a computer on lap, lying in a bed, or floor. REMAIN at your computer for the duration of the test (no breaks during the exam) REMOVE all smart glasses, watches, headphones, earbuds, or AirPods. NO-- Students are not permitted to complete any exams on a smartphone device. If you are using a high school-issued Chrome tablet/laptop, you must verify in advance that your student-issued Chrome tablet can access Honorlock. I strongly recommend that you follow ALL of the guidelines and log in to complete your exam at least 2 hours prior to the exam due date/time.
