About 200 words should be enough to answer each question.   The Felix Pets company is developing a way to remove or repress a gene in cats whose product is the main cause of human cat allergies. The initial process will involve genetic manipulation of cat embryos at a very early stage as well as the use of surrogate cat mothers to create the hypoallergenic cats. The success rate is currently unknown but would initially be probably quite low. Once several cats have been produced this way these cats could be used to breed hypoallergenic progeny naturally.  Do you think this should be allowed? Consider that this would involve manipulating the germline of the cats.
