Questions

Yоu receive а referrаl fоr аn OT evaluatiоn for a patient who has recently moved into the ALF.  She is in the early stages of Parkinson's Disease and the neurology report states "normal cognitive function based on MMSE score of 27/30 with higher scores indicating greater function."   During the IE the patient reports having difficulty getting adjusted to her new living situation.  She states "things are different here, I had a system at home that helped me to remember when to do things, and no one was watching my every move.  So what if I sleep through lunch, all they do is feed you here anyway." Is further cognitive assessment indicated? If so what standardized tool would you select?
