Psychоlоgy is а brаnch оf science.  This meаns psychologists use the scientific method to test their claims.  The following questions are about the scientific study described below: Suppose a psychologist wants to know whether eating high fiber foods causes employees to work harder at their jobs. She believed that employees provided a high-fiber lunch would complete more work tasks per day than those who were provided a low-fiber lunch. In her study, 1/3rd of the employees in the study were given a high-fiber lunch while 1/3rd were given a low-fiber lunch. The last third of employees ate whatever they wanted-- their normal lunch.  The psychologist then measured how many work tasks they completed each day.  The results showed that employees in the high-fiber lunch group completed more work tasks per day than those who were provided a low-fiber lunch or ate their normal lunch. 1.
