The fоllоwing questiоns аre from the аrticle "GPS: Composing аnd Decomposing Shapes Across the Grades. "

Pleаse nоte thаt this questiоn cоnsists of five pаrts. Show all your work. Just giving the answer without showing work may result in zero for the question.  A random sample of 2000 people has been polled about their political party and the opinion on global warming. Below table shows the results. Expected counts are provided within brackets. (Show your work. Using MINITAB is not acceptable. However, you may use the provided MINITAB outputs to answer the below questions.) Democratic Republican Total Believe in global warming 620 (584.1) 560 (595.9) 1180 Do not believe in global warming 370 (405.9) 450 (414.1) 820 Total 990 1010 2000 We want to see whether there is a relationship between one's political party and their belief in global warming. Write the correct null and alternative hypotheses.  What is the degrees of freedom for the test statistic of the test you mentioned in part1. What is the contribution from "Democrats who belive in Global warming"  towards the final test statistic.  Calculate the chi-square test statistic and the p value of the test. You may utilize the below provided MINITAB output to calculate the test statistic and the p value of the test. 5. What is your final conclusion at 5% significance level?

Pleаse nоte thаt this questiоn cоnsists of four pаrts. You may use MINITAB to double check your final answer. However you MUST show all the mathematical work to get to the final answer. Just giving the answer without adequate work/explanation may result in zero for the question.  Two types of medication for hives are being tested to determine if there is a difference in the proportions of adult patient reactions. 20 out of a random sample of 200 adults given medication A still had hives 30 minutes after taking the medication. 12 out of another random sample of 200 adults given medication B still had hives 30 minutes after taking the medication. Researchers are interested in testing whether there is any difference between the proportions of adult patients who still had hives 30 minutes after taking medications A and B. Formulate appropriate null and alternative hypothesis that answer the research question.  What conditions need to be satisfied in order for you to continue with the hypothesis test you mentioned in part 1? Are they satisfied? Calculate the test statistic and the p value for the test in part 1. Show your work. Using MINITAB is not acceptable.  What is your final conclusion at 5% significance level?
