Online Testing Pоlicy (Science Depаrtment) Exаm Testing Pоlicy: All exаms including lecture and lab exams will be prоctored. Students will be notified prior to exams of when exams will be posted, and students will not be allowed to take an exam after the scheduled due date. Exams will be given through Canvas and will require an instructor chosen proctoring program, no exceptions. All exams will be video, and audio recorded using Honorlock. If students do not have a reliable computer or internet, students can take exams in the CVCC Testing Center, arrangements need to be made in advance. No cell phones, additional technology, or materials will be allowed during the exams. Students must follow instructors’ instructions for proper use of the proctoring program which will include showing your hands, face, and the entire work area during the entire exam. If all protocols are not followed for proper use of the proctoring program, the student will receive a zero for the exam. Additionally, if the proctoring program is not used correctly as written and instructed by instructor, students will be required for the rest of the semester to come to the CVCC testing center or another approved testing center for all future exams. Honorlock is a recording platform. Your exam is not considered clear until the instructor has reviewed the entire video and audio recording of your exam and graded the exam. You will receive a zero for violations based on instructors proctoring and testing rules, even if Honorlock does not stop your exam. All exam including video results are kept by the instructor. The student may check the course Canvas site to learn the grade they have earned on the exam – any exam. However, students are encouraged to schedule appointments to review the test results.
