Officer Jоhnsоn received аn e-mаil frоm а woman named Edna. The e-mail claimed that her ex-boyfriend, Able, was selling cocaine out of his apartment. The e-mail described in some detail how Able and another woman were engaged in selling small bags of cocaine. from around 1 AM to 5 AM on every weekend. Although Officer Johnson had no previous interactions with Edna, her email described Able’s residence as a brown colored, three-room apartment located on 1848 Front Street in Norwalk, California. She indicated that Able lived in apartment number 4 on the ground floor level. So, Officer Johnson and his partner, Officer Kennedy, decided to conduct surveillance of the apartment the following weekend. And just as Edna predicted, a car drove up around 1 AM and the officers observed a man enter apartment number 4 and leave a few minutes later with a small brown paper bag.
