Since his front door was old and decrepit, Larry decided to have it re-designed to attract more customers. Larry contracted with Archie, an architect who he placed in charge of the store renovation. Before beginning the renovation, Larry spoke to The Glass Experts, a manufacturer and supplier of glass doors for retail establishments. Larry told The Glass Experts that he wanted to have a nice tempered glass door installed in his store. However, in an effort to save Larry some money on the renovation, The Glass Experts told him that they could install an ½ inch thick plate glass which would cost one-third as much as the tempered glass.
