Glоbаl Hаrvest Grаin Cо. is a prоducer of wheat flour based in Topeka, Kansas. A very large bakery chain in Venezuela places an order for $1,000,000 worth of flour. They request to purchase it on accounts receivable, with payment due 120 days after delivery. While the bakery chain has a solid reputation, Venezuela is currently experiencing high inflation, currency devaluation, and political unrest. Global Harvest is concerned whether the bakery chain will be able to pay on time; or the possibility that government-imposed currency controls could delay or block payment altogether. If Global Harvest Grain agrees to sell the $1M of flour on accounts receivable - what type of risk does the company face in that scenario?
