Patient states his left ear is much more painful, he has now developed a HA and continues to have fever. Upon exam, there is tragus pain, the left ear canal is erythematous and swollen with purulent drainage. The TM is unable to be visualized. There is mastoid tenderness with palpation. In addition, you notice that the left side of the patient's face has a notable droop. When asked, the patient states "I woke up like that this morning".
