(d) An expression for the instantaneous loss in the incremental path in terms of the ap, lp, l, σ{"version":"1.1","math":"σ"}, dB/dt, and dx (e) An expression for the time-average total loss in terms of ap, lp, l, σ{"version":"1.1","math":"σ"}, dB/dt, and the period of the waveform, T. This final expression should be in terms of double integrals involving x and t. Your answer should be expressed in terms of definite integrals – they don’t need to be evaluated. Just set them up. Problem 2. (20 pts) The following voltage is applied to the primary of a transformer:  vp=2Vpcos(ωet){"version":"1.1","math":"vp=2Vpcos(ωet)"} The transformer is connected at t=tc{"version":"1.1","math":"t=tc"}. What is the maximum primary flux linkage the transformer could be subjected to? Your answer should be in terms of Vp{"version":"1.1","math":"Vp"} and ωe{"version":"1.1","math":"ωe"}. Problem 3. (20 pts) The design code for a transformer utilizes an MEC. Let us represent the MEC functionally as λp,λs=fMEC(ip, is){"version":"1.1","math":"λp,λs=fMEC(ip, is)"} where the notation should be self-evident and all variables are physical. The primary to secondary turns ratio is Np/Ns{"version":"1.1","math":"Np/Ns"}. (20 pts) Following the approach we used in class, derive the expression for the discrete winding function in terms of the conductors per slot. Include the derivation of an explicit expression for the winding function for tooth 1. Problem 5. Hint: Note that ϕsm{"version":"1.1","math":"ϕsm"} and ϕrm{"version":"1.1","math":"ϕrm"} are not independent. So put your integral in terms of one or the other before evaluating.
