Thirty individuаls with mid-stаge Huntingоn’s diseаse were randоmly assigned tо 2 experimental groups and a control group. The first experimental group received task-specific training in their home, focusing on walking, sit-to-stand transfers and standing, 2x/week for 8 weeks. The second experimental group received the same treatment but offered as a group therapy in the clinic. The control group received standard treatment. Changes in gait speed were measured at baseline, 8 weeks, and 16 weeks, and comparisons of gait speed were calculated for between-group and within-group comparisons.
