The fоllоwing аrgument is fаulty, cоntаining at least two manipulative appeals or logical fallacies from the list below: ad hominem bandwagon either-or fallacy evasion (and red herring) false analogy flattery generalization incorrect (small) sampling just plain folks name calling post hoc ridicule slippery slope stereotyping strawman testimonial transfer two wrongs make a right Identify two of the above problems in the following argument. For each, name the fallacy and explain why it is faulty reasoning.  It’s completely ridiculous that college administrators put students on academic probation if their GPA drops below a 2.0. My cousin had a low GPA and brought it up to a 3.5 all on her own, so obviously academic probation is not necessary. Honestly, instead of worrying about GPAs, administrators should focus their energy on underage drinking, binge partying, and other campus problems. Plus, many students are under enormous stress. They’re working 40-hour-a-week jobs, supporting their families, volunteering, and somehow still showing up to class. Administrators who are proponents of academic probation policies consider all students with low GPAs to be lazy slackers who must be punished to improve their grades. Clearly, probation policies are not just unfair; they’re an attack on hardworking students everywhere, and anyone who supports them must hate young people and hope they fail.
