Sоme оrgаnisms аre well-suited tо life in the wаter, and others are better-suited to life on land. Answer ALL THREE parts of this question. Some land plants, such as bryophyte mosses, need to stay near water. However, gymnosperms, such as conifers, can live far from water. Describe two different features of a conifer that help it survive on land that are NOT also present in a bryophyte moss! Be sure to say HOW these features help them survive on land. (3 pts; 2-4 sentences) Amphibians need to return to the water to lay eggs, but reptiles do not. Why? Explain in terms of a specific structure and its function. (2 pts, 1-2 sentences.) Name one phylum we studied that is ONLY found in the water or very moist environments. (Multiple possible answers!) (1 pt; 1-word answer!)
