Questiоns 9, 10, аnd 11 аre bаsed upоn the fоllowing fact pattern. Violet is a 10-year-old girl. Violet decided to go sledding during a heavy snow and ice storm. Violet planned to go sledding down Hill Street which is a steep and winding street located around the corner from Violet’s home. Hill Street was a popular sledding site because of its steep incline. Violet’s parents had given her permission to sled down Hill Street. On her way to Hill Street, Violet met Patty who is a 12-year-old girl. Violet asked Patty if she wanted to go sledding with her. Patty agreed. Together, the two girls walked to the top of Hill Street. There, Violet sat on the front of the sled where she could control the steering mechanism of the sled. Patty sat behind Violet on the sled. They began their descent at a fairly decent speed. As the girls were about half way down Hill Street, they came to the intersection of Maple Avenue.
