When yоu summаrize sоmething, yоu write or tell the generаl ideа and only the most important points. It's a skill that is used in classes, research, and at many jobs. The following questions will help you determine what is important in your reading and can also help you write your summary: What are the headings (questions in all caps) of the reading you just did? Those are the main topics. Are there clearly marked ideas or terms that relate to the headings’ topic? These are called subheadings. How many subheadings are there? What are they? How does the reading explain the connection between the main topic and the concepts or terms? Use your own words to summarize what you read in the Introduction, do not paraphrase (reorder the words of the text). This kind of summary is for you to more clearly understand the concepts you were introduced to; it is not a test.

Tаke а mоment tо: Rаise 2 sheets оf blank scratch paper, at the same time, and flip them to show both sides of the paper to the camera. Do this slowly. Both sides of the paper must be clearly visible in the video. No notes are permitted. The sheets must be blank at this time. Scan the entire room and the area around you. This includes making sure your desk/work area is visible in the scan.  Once you affirm the below statements you can use the paper as needed during the exam.  If you do not complete both steps listed above you can still continue the exam HOWEVER you are not permitted to access any paper at all during the testing window. If you need a writing/typing/drawing area you can use the whiteboard provided in the exam window ONLY. You will only be allowed to access the computer, mouse, and keyboard throughout the entire exam. Failure to follow these rules can result in either a significant point reduction, or a failing grade on the exam, or a failing grade in the course in the course (depending on the severity of the violation).  The following two questions are regarding academic integrity and must be completed. Failing to acknowledge these rules will result in grade penalties.
