I certify thаt I hаve reаd, understand, and will abide by the Cоllege Hоnоr Code/Student Code of Conduct to include the following: Integrity Violation System used in this CPT 101 course. – Appropriate file management is ALWAYS the responsibility of the person creating the file. If you share a computer in the "real world" and leave mission critical information "hanging out" in an unsecured fashion, the on-job consequences for your actions could result in termination. Should you use a public or otherwise shared computer to do your work and save the file to an unsecured environment (such as the desktop) and another student submits your project for grading, your instructor WILL KNOW. If you get a file from another student and turn in that file as your own, it is not your work and will result in an integrity violation. If you give your file to another student and that student turns it in as his/her own, that is also an integrity violation. Further, your instructor will edit both your score and the submitter's score to reflect a grade of ZERO! It does not matter that you had no knowledge of the file sharing violation. If another student submits your work and your student ID appears in an integrity flagged violation, both of you will receive a grade of ZERO. If you submit work flagged with another student's ID, both of you WILL receive a grade of zero. It does not matter whether you actively participated in the violation or if your files were saved in an unsecured environment. Both overt and covert violations carry the same penalty—a grade of ZERO. If this violation occurs two times with any student during the semester, that student may fail this CPT 101 course, regardless of whether or not warning is given by the Instructor.
