I understаnd thаt I cаnnоt have a cell phоne near my testing area. Hоnorlock can detect if a cell phone (or another internet-capable device) is close by.  A proctor may interrupt my testing session to ask me to turn off the secondary device and/or complete another room scan.

Use your knowledge of aldosterone to explain how this hormone helps maintain homeostasis and what can happen if it is deficient. Include in your answer:A.  The main function of aldosterone. (2 pts)B.  How aldosterone accomplishes this function at the level of the kidney – be specific. (6 pts)C.  How a deficiency in aldosterone could lead to life-threatening complications. (2 pts) Question 2:  Glen has diabetes insipidus, the primary symptoms of which is the passage of large amounts of dilute urine and is constantly thirsty. DISCUSS two possible causes of this problem involving action of a posterior pituitary hormone. Include in your answer: A.  The name of the hormone (1pts) B. The reason the hormone is released (2pts) C. A discussion of the 3 functions of the hormones (3pts) D. Discuss 2 possible problems that could arise along the way from hormone release to receptor binding that could lead to diabetes insipidus. (4pts) Question 3:  Nicki suffers from Graves’ Disease, an autoimmune condition that results in hyperthyroidism.  Nicki has to take daily medication to treat this disorder.  Based on your knowledge answer the following questions:a.    The name of ALL the hormones that could be involved in this disorder. (2pts)b.    A discussion of the functions of the hormones, give at least 4 functions. (4pts)c.    Discuss 2 possible ways the drug could have counteracted the hyperthyroidism at any point from hormone release to receptor binding.
