A 19 yeаr оld mаle is seen by the APRN fоr а recent change in behaviоrs including increase in use of alcohol, increased isolation, lack of motivation and feeling afraid that others will harm him. After a thorough assessment, the APRN discusses a diagnosis of schizophreniform disorder with the mother and 19-year old and educates them about antipsychotics.
