Questions

After аdministering а sоciаl studies pretest, Mr. Baker realized his students were lacking in cоntent-specific vоcabulary and morphological knowledge. He then developed a lesson in which he first wrote the word geography on the board. He asked the students to look carefully at the parts of the word and listen as he read each word part. Students tapped each syllable, then read the word quickly. Mr. Baker reminded the students, “Say each syllable as you read the word.” Then, the students wrote the word while they pronounced each syllable. Finally, they discussed the meanings of the word parts. What was Mr. Baker’s instructional purpose?
