Pursuant to that aim, students must follow all the requirements to ensure that everyone submits their own original work, and the positive image of the Lamar University Master of Public Administration Program is maintained. The Comprehensive Exam will be proctored using Honorlock. Exam StructureDuring the exam period, each student will complete two separate assessments. Both assessments will be available in the Comprehensive Exam folder, and they will be clearly labeled Comprehensive Exam Part 1 and Comprehensive Exam Part 2. From the time they begin the first assessment, students will be permitted a total of five hours and fifteen minutes (315 minutes) to complete both parts. This total time limit allows for 150 minutes for each part of the exam and a fifteen-minute break between them. Exam-takers are not permitted to leave the room when either part of the exam is open on their computers. Taking more than one break will result in failure of the exam. Students are only permitted one break of up to 15 minutes during the exam period. Each part of the exam will include a list of situations and discussion points. None of the situations or discussion points will be included on both parts of the exam.To complete Part 1 of the exam, you will need to choose a situation and a discussion point to address in your response. You will also be required to note which situation and which discussion point you have used in your response. A heading such as “Situation One, Discussion Point Two” will assure compliance with this rule. You will be required to complete Part 2 of the exam in the same manner and label the situation and discussion point used in that response as well.RulesAny violation of the Comprehensive Exam rules can result in a student automatically failing the exam.
