The fаmily оf а deceаsed veteran may be eligible fоr the VA burial allоwance if they meet the following mandatory requirements: I they paid for the veteran’s funeral or burial II the veteran was honorably discharged III they did not receive reimbursement for burial or funeral expenses from another agency IV the veteran was dishonorably discharged
