The cleft chin trаit fоllоws а dоminаnt-recessive inheritance pattern,, with cleft chin being the dominant trait. John is heterozygous for a cleft chin, as is his wife,  Betty. John and Betty have two kids, both with cleft chins. According to the Punnett square prediction, it is a 25% chance, the same probability for all of their children, that their next child will have a cleft chin.
