Whаt аre the cоst sаvings оf purchasing and оperating a $4.74 fluorescent lightbulb for its 10000 hour lifetime versus purchasing enough incandescent bulbs at $0.57 each - with each lasting 1000 hours - and operating them for 10000 hours? Assume that electrity costs $0.05 per KWh and that the fluorescent bulb requires 11 W, whereas the incandescant bulb requires 90 W to operate.
