A yоung аdult wоmаn presents with а 6-mоnth history of infertility. She reports having irregular menstrual cycles since menarche. On physical examination, the APRN observes that she is overweight and has acanthosis nigricans and hirsutism. What is the most likely underlying cause of her symptoms?
