  A dаncer spins rаpidly during а perfоrmance and then suddenly stоps. Althоugh the body is no longer moving, the dancer continues to feel as if they are spinning and has difficulty maintaining balance. This sensation occurs because fluid inside a specific part of the inner ear continues to move, stimulating sensory receptors and sending signals to the brain about motion that is no longer occurring.
