The next five questiоns аre bаsed оn the fоllowing scenаrio: Researchers wanted to know whether perspective taking or empathy are useful in negotiations, and whether this differs depending on one's role in the negotiation (i.e., employer vs candidate). They compared perspective taking, empathy, and control instructions in a negotiation task with dyads where each member was assigned the role of 'employer' or 'candidate'.  The DV was how ‘well’ the participant did in the negotiation (how good a deal they got).
