"Tаnk" is а 10 kg, 10 yо MN DSH with а 1 year histоry оf well-regulated diabetes mellitus. He presents to your clinic for boarding on December 23. He is currently receiving 5U of glargine insulin BID. Glargine is a 100U/mL insulin. His owner uses a normal 100 U/mL syringe at home to give the 5U. Unfortunately, on Christmas morning, one of your new kennel staff did not realize that there were two different types of insulin syringes. Instead of giving him 5U of glargine with his normal 100 U/mL syringe, she used a 40U/mL syringe to give 5U, as labelled on the syringe. A technician came in 1 hour later and discovered the mistake. She has called you to ask what she should do. Which is the most appropriate response? (Hint: Drawing a diagram may help you figure this out.)
