Which оf the fоllоwing stаtements from the аbstrаct below best describes how this is a systematic review? Background: Pediatric patients undergoing chemotherapy frequently experience treatment related fatigue, yet the effectiveness of nonpharmacologic interventions remains unclear. Understanding which strategies provide meaningful relief is essential for improving quality of life during active cancer treatment. Purpose: This review aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of nonpharmacologic interventions—such as exercise, mindfulness-based therapies, and sleep hygiene programs—on reducing chemotherapy related fatigue in children with cancer. Methods: We conducted a systematic search of six electronic databases and included studies that met predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria. Two reviewers independently screened titles, abstracts, and full texts, and discrepancies were resolved through consensus. Data were extracted using a standardized tool, and study quality was appraised using validated critical appraisal instruments. Results: Fourteen studies met inclusion criteria, including randomized controlled trials, quasi-experimental studies, and cohort designs. Exercise based interventions demonstrated the most consistent improvements in fatigue scores, while mindfulness-based interventions showed mixed results. Sleep hygiene programs improved nighttime rest but had variable effects on daytime fatigue. Conclusion: Nonpharmacologic interventions show promise for reducing chemotherapy related fatigue in pediatric oncology populations, with exercise -based programs demonstrating the strongest evidence. Additional high-quality trials are needed to strengthen the evidence base and guide clinical recommendations.
