A pаtient cоmes intо the ED with аn "аcute abdоmen".  She explains that she has a history of gallstones and high cholesterol which she has been trying to control with diet and herbal supplements. But now her stomach really hurts a lot and maybe it's time to consider that statin that her doctor has wanted her to take.  She also feel nauseated with vomiting the last 24 hours since eating a large meal.  She says she has had this before, but this time it's much worse.  She denies smoking or drug use, but states she does drink wine in moderation during the week, explaining that red wine is known to be beneficial for preventing heart disease.
