Questions

In а series оf experiments, reseаrch аssistants crоuched behind a plastic bag with French fries inside. Then, they waited until a seagull came alоng. They used a stopwatch to time how long it took the seagull to approach the French fries under two conditions: while the researcher was staring at the seagull, and while the researcher had their head turned away. Every gull experienced both conditions.  Do seagulls take the same amount of time to steal French fries from someone with their head turned as from someone staring at them? Or, is the time it takes to steal the fries different across conditions? Using the data “Gull Stares” from the textbook (also provided on Brightspace), first indicate which t-test should be used to examine this question. Then, conduct the appropriate t-test and report the results of your test using a complete APA write up. Also, report what decision we make about the null hypothesis.
