Verify thаt yоu hаve reаd and will use the required exam requirements.  Envirоnment Requirements A reliable internet cоnnection is required for quizzes and exams. You are required to complete a webcam scan of your workspace where you will take the quiz or exam each time you take a proctored quiz or exam. A "workspace" is defined as your desk or tabletop, the walls that you are facing and next to you, including the monitor screen.  No other person is allowed to be in the same room while you are taking the proctored quiz or exam. The lighting in the room must be bright enough to be considered “daylight” quality. Overhead lighting is recommended. If overhead lighting is not available, the source of light must not be behind you. Webcam should be focused on the test taker and placed on a stable surface so that it will have a steady and uninterrupted view of the test taker.  Both of your hands must remain fully in view of the camera the entire time (except for the short time you are answering questions or switching between questions on Canvas). See the YouTube video below. Your microphone must remain turned on at all times. Sit at a clean desk or table. No writing on the desk or walls around you. The room should be as quiet as possible; hence no music or television will be permitted. No headphones or earbuds are allowed. You must not have listening devices in your ears. No wearing anything on your head — such as hats or hoodies that cover your ears. No smart glasses are allowed. The following items are not allowed to be on your desk or used during your proctored quiz or exam: Books Textbooks Notebooks Phones and other devices TI-84 Plus or TI-83 Plus is allowed on your tabletop to use. Your calculator must be at least partially in view of the camera at all times. The textbook Formula/Table card will be attached at the end of your quiz/exam for you to use. This Formula/Table card can be found in MyLab and Mastering, click on the left tab bar “Video & Resource Library," click on "Learning Tools,” and in the middle of the page, under “Review,” you will see a link “View the Formula/Table Card from your textbook.” A blank 8.5” by 11” paper and pencil may be used for the purpose of scratch work only. You are not allowed to copy the questions of the quiz or exam on this piece of paper. If you choose to use a scratch paper, you must show this paper front and back in front of the webcam when you are asked to scan your desk and walls. Right after you complete the exam, you must show the used scratch paper front and back in front of the webcam before ending your quiz or exam. All exams should be shown in full screen.   Failure to follow any of these rules may result in the exam not being score.  This means you will earn a 0 for the assessment that cannot be made up.  Please be aware that repeated exiting and restarting a quiz or exam in Honorlock can appear unusual in the system and may be flagged as academic dishonesty.  Honorlock records all activity and any activity that seems out of the ordinary may be reviewed.  While I understand that occasional techincal issues may happen, students should plan to complete their exam in one continuous session, without exiting Honorlock.
