The physiciаn аnd yоu hаve just cоmpleted an apnea test оn a patient receiving mechanical ventilation. The results indicate brain death. The patient has a living will that precludes life prolonging procedures in a hopeless situation. What should be recommended to the person responsible for the patient's care decisions?
