The textbооk, the Study Guides, аnd my clаss nоtes mаy be used while taking the Honorlock proctored tests, and even on this syllabus test, but they MUST be hard (printed) copies, and NOT digital copies. I know that for the Final Exam Parts 1 and 2, the use of the textbook, the Study Guides, and my personal class notes will NOT be permitted.
Lаte Writing Assignments will nоt be аccepted fоr pоints аfter the due deadline has expired, OR if they have not been submitted via Turnitin. There will be no exceptions. AI is not to be used in writing the compare/contrast paper. I know that an AI detector score of more than 25% from the Turnitin Detector will result in an "F" grade and will be forwarded to the Dean of Students for an Honor Code violation. Writing Assignments turned in after the deadline, and if conforming to the assignment instructions (including the required minimum 1000 words and no AI use), may receive writing credit only, but no points can be earned. In addition, the following steps must be followed: You must not only submit a digital copy to my email address, but you must also print out your paper and turn in a hard copy to me (Dale Mabry Campus) by 3:00 pm no later than the 8th day (remember I am on campus on Mondays, Tuesday afternoons (3-5 pm), and Wednesdays until 3:00 pm following the original due date. If mailed, your assignment must be postmarked no later than the 8th day past the original deadline. Late Writing Assignments will not be accepted beyond 8 days following the original Due Date. I will send out a Canvas Announcement a few days after the 8-day “extension” announcing the closing of the 8-day “extension”. If you wish to reach out to confirm I have your assignment, I will let you know. If I do not hear from you, I will interpret that non-communication as disinterest on your part, and if I do not have it, a zero will be your final grade on the Writing Assignment. It is the student’s responsibility to periodically check with the professor to be sure that the late assignment is graded after Items Nos. 1, 2, and 3 have been fulfilled. Late assignments are graded last. You will not receive credit unless all of the above protocols are met. “Writing Assignment credit only” means that you will then be eligible to receive a grade higher than a “D” in the course if you have earned points higher than a “D”, but no points will be earned for the assignment."
