Online Final Exam Setup Requirements Two web cameras are being used: A front-facing camera (usually already installed on your laptop or PC monitor) An external webcam with a microphone that connects to your laptop or computer with a USB cord at least 6-feet in length and with a side view video monitoring/recording of you and your testing environment. (An external web camera is a separate device that you plug in to your computer or laptop monitor (not one that is embedded in your screen). Both cameras and the microphone must be on for the entire exam. Only one computer monitor screen in use (cover additional monitors with a towel or blanket) Testing alone in a quiet, private space - no talking during the exam (no outside space; no background audio/video) Good lighting - your face and surroundings are well-lit Solid work surface only - desk, table, counter, or floor are cleared of everything except your computer/laptop, keyboard, and mouse (beverages in clear containers without labels are allowed) Dressed in modest, nonrevealing clothing Hair pulled back from the face to expose ears Face, torso, hands, full computer monitor, keyboard, and mouse are clearly visible on camera for the whole exam No cell phones or other electronic devices on your workspace, on your person, or within your reach (turn them off and put them far away from you) No dark glasses, headphones, earbuds, hat, or hood (religious head coverings are permitted, but you must show your ears to the camera - message the instructor if you have questions about this requirement).
