Reаd the fоllоwing pаssаge.  Fоr each step of the scientific method type the words/sentence/sentences that correspond to each step listed.  Please note that the steps to the scientific method are not in the correct order.  Note: This question may be marked wrong even if it is correct.  I will go back and grade this question by hand and adjust your grade accordingly.   Passage: Ja'Heim wanted a dog, but was severely allergic, so his mom got him an ant farm instead.  The directions on the ant farm stated that Ja'Heim needed to provide the ants with food every 2 days.  On the first day, Ja'Heim fed the ants leaves from an Oak tree that was growing in his back yard. He noticed the ants "cut" the leaves but did not eat them right away.  He fed the ants Wise Original flavored potato chips next.  He noticed that some of the chips got eaten right away, while others were carried away. ,Ja'Heim then fed the ants Chips-A-Hoy Chocolate Chip Cookies.  He noticed that most of the ants surrounded the cookie and ate it right away carrying very little away.  In his excitement, Ja'Heim told his mother what he saw.  His mother was curious too.  She asked Ja'Heim if ants preferred to eat foods that had a high sugar content like that of the cookies compared to foods that were rich in carbohydrates like those in potato chips?  Ja'Heim responded by saying "Um, I don't know".  So being the woman that she was, she had Ja'Heim do research on what ants normally eat.  Ja'Heim discovered that ants are omnivores.  This means that they will consume anything.  They have been observed consuming the milk of Aphids, small living or dead invertebrates (like other insects), insect eggs, and even the sap from various plants and fruits.  Queen ants have even been known to cannibalize the ants in their community and even eat their own eggs to ensure their survival. Based on what Ja'Heim read, and what he saw, he felt that ants consumed foods that had a higher simple sugar content compared to foods that had a higher complex carbohydrate content.  Before he knew it, Ja'Heim's mother had ordered 3 more ant farms.  To be consistent, Ja'Heim made sure that each ant farm contained 100 ants.  1 of which was the queen.  The first ant farm was given 3 grams of egg protein powder.  The specific brand that he used did not have any simple sugars or complex carbohydrates in it.  The protein powder was placed in a plastic soda top so that Ja'Heim could remove it and measure the amount of egg protein remaining at the end of a 24-hour period.  The second ant farm was given 3 grams of pure sucrose to consume. every 2 days.  Sucrose is everyday table sugar that does not contain any complex carbohydrates or protein.  This too was placed in a plastic soda top so that the remaining amount could be easily measured after 24-hours. The third ant farm was given 3 grams of rice flour to consume.  Rice flower is a complex carbohydrate that does contain some protein although it is minimal, but does not contain any simple sugars.  Again, it was placed in a plastic soda top for easy measurement after 24-hours.  Ja'Heim also counted the number of ants that were living in each of the ant farms.  If the ants weren't eating, then they would surely die.  He figured that just because the amount of "food" in the soda top was decreasing did not necessarily mean it was being eaten.  To ensure the food was disappearing because it was eating, he meticulously counted the ants every 2 days.   Ja'Heim let his experiment run for 1 month (30-days) making sure to refresh the food every 2 days, count the number of living ants, and measure the amount of food remaining after 24-hours.  Questions: Identify any 2 controlled variables in the experiment? Identify the dependent variable in the experiment Identify Ja'Heims hypothesis? Identify the independent variable in the experiment Identify the control group in the experiment.  Identify the information Ja'Heim used to develop his hypothesis
